I am interested in the polymicrobial context of bacterial respiratory infection. I study how the respiratory microbiome might affect pathogenesis and treatment success, focusing on cystic fibrosis and the pediatric ICU. This work encompasses basic, clinical, and translational research at the interface of ecology, microbial pathogenesis, and infectious disease.
